 Columbus Housing
Partnership offers various types of housing to meet the needs of individuals
and families throughout central Ohio. Many of CHP's units are in multifamily
apartment communities with 3 and 4 bedroom apartments to accommodate larger
families. Computer labs, resident councils, children's savings clubs,
playgrounds, block watches and breakfast/lunch programs are offered at
many of CHP's communities. Single room occupancy and 1 bedroom units are
also available.
Lease-Option Programs
CHP's newest program is the development of single-family homes in
Franklin County as part of a Lease Option Program. These homes offer families
who are not yet ready to purchase a home the opportunity to learn the
responsibilities and benefits of home ownership while providing a safe,
decent, affordable home for their children. Home ownership comes with
enormous responsibilities and being prepared to be a homeowner is an ongoing
process. CHP provides programs to assist lease option residents from start
to finish in the home ownership process. Residents who meet all of the
obligations under their lease have the option to purchase their home at
the end of the 15-year tax credit period. Click here for more information
